Details of our current walking photography tours. Tour durations vary between approximately 3 and 6 hours in duration. We meet you at the agreed time and starting point for the tour. Your guide will be with you for the entire tour.
Walk A: Painswick and Sheepscombe
Start point: Painswick Village (Central Cotswolds)
Distance: approx. 6km
Terrain: undulating (total height climbed approx. 180m)
Photography Highlights: Painswick village; views of Painswick and Sheepscombe villages; Beechwood areas
Walk B: Slad Valley and Snows Farm conservation area
Start point: Slad village war memorial
Distance: approx. 7km
Terrain: undulating with some steeper climbs (total height climbed approx. 280m)
Photography Highlights: Slad village (home to the late Laurie Lee); Beech woodlands; Dillay Brook valley (scenic landscapes)
Walk C: South from Cranham towards Sheepscombe
Start point: Cranham village (Scout centre)
Distance: approx. 6.5 km
Terrain: mostly flat with one steep-ish climb (total height climbed approx. 180m)
Photography Highlights: unspoiled valley landscape; Beech woodlands; Painswick stream at Tocknell’s Court; Birds of prey
Walk D: Brimpsfield and Caudle Green
Start point: Brimpsfield village
Distance: approx. 6km
Terrain: mainly flat with some climbs (total ascent approx. 135m)
Photography Highlights: shaded wooded areas; streams and springs (depending on time of year / weather); covers three villages; birds of prey / wildlife
Walk E: Coberley and Cowley
Start point: Coberley village
Distance: approx. 7.5km [4-4.5 hours]
Terrain: undulating, 190m total ascent
Photography Highlights: picturesque villages of Coberley (including the church, and source of the river Churn) and Cowley (including Cowley Manor Hotel and grounds); wildlife; woodland;
Walk F: Whithington and Chedworth Roman Villa
Start point: Whithington church
Distance: approx. 9.5km [5-5.5hours. Extendable to include Chedworth village for a whole day (7hour) walk]
Terrain: undulating with 220m total ascent
Photography Highlights: Whithington village; woodland and wildlife (esp. deer), disused airfield near Chedworth village; the Roman Villa; river Coln and classic Cotswold landscape
Walk G: Notgrove, Cold Aston and Turkdean
Start point: Notgrove (church)
Distance: approx. 10.5km [6 hours]
Terrain: undulating with some climbs, total ascent 230m
Photography Highlights: The villages including churches and Manor houses; classic Cotswold landscape and farming; panoramic views; birds of prey; farm birds; deer and hares (esp. in Spring time)
